Ohio's Top Coach (2014) formed Jack of Trades as a business entity in January of 2006. It is the brainchild of its owner and founder Darrell S. Watson. In January of 1999, Watson decided to re-attend college as a nontraditional student in education and mathematics. On discovering his high competency in mathematics and language arts, Watson began a freelance tutoring and editorial service as an avocation. Watson was later hired by Cleveland State University as a Trio tutor and then by other organizations for his tutorial services.
Mathematics, Writing & Reading
Feeling a growing demand for tutorial services in general and mathematics in particular, Watson embarked on creating his own company centered on tutorial services in mathematics. Watson is ranked among the top 4% of tutors on Tutor.com. Also, he is Wyzant certified in 10 different math areas. Watson has earned a two-year educator’s license and two five-year substitute teacher’s licenses to teach integrated mathematics. Recently, he has earned a four year adult education permit to teach mathematics.
In 2018, he had a challenging position with East Preparatory Academy as a middle school mathematics teacher and reading coach. In that same year of 2018, He was an invited attendee to the Best of Cleveland. Which was held at Shooters on the Water. He considered this a flattering honor. He has also taught mathematics at Shaw High School in East Cleveland, Ohio and Horizon Science Academy, a blue ribbon Cleveland, Ohio charter school. His teaching subjects were Intervention Math, Algebra I, Algebra II, AP Calculus, College Prep., and ACT-SAT Math. Watson was a pivotal performer in the improved performance of East Preparatory Academy, as well as both Shaw High School in the 2007-2008 school year and his brief stint at Horizon Science Academy.
Along with his focus on mathematics, Watson is a decorated writer, winning two scholarships with a creative writing part for each; and also, helping others to win scholarships through his editorial efforts. He has edited many works, ranging from manuscripts to simple research papers. His work in this area has made him a heralded freelance editor. Of note, Darrell Watson is becoming a popular writer on Quora.com (https://www.quora.com/quoraplus?ch=10&invite_code&share=2ef9cd85) and is on a pace to have more than two million viewers into the year 2025. And he has also established himself as a Paid-Writer. On Google Maps as a Master Reviewer and Expert Photographer, he has gone over 2 million views as of July 2024. Not only does Watson have natural ability in these areas of editing and writing but is also heavily credentialed. Watson has certification from Cleveland State University as a technical writer. In addition, he has several credentials from ExpertRating.com and Brainbench.com; which certify his high competency as an editor and skill with language, usage, spelling, and vocabulary.
Watson did a brief stint as a reading coach with a competitor years ago and also at East Preparatory Academy. He is recognized by Wyzant.com as a certified reading coach after passing their rigorous reading examination. Now, he is re-establishing himself as a low-cost alternative to high priced reading specialists. There is no skill more essential to work productivity and self-esteem than the ability to read.

Paralegal Services
Paralegal Services
Jack of Trades offers paralegal services to attorneys in the areas of trial practice, contracts, corporations, bankruptcy, legal research, and intellectual properties. Watson has achieved national certification as an ACP (Advanced Certified Paralegal)* from the NALA. Though some lawyers are unfamiliar with this designation, it is one of the highest and most prestigious in the profession. Since its inception in 2006 to August of 2018, only about 3,500 paralegals have successfully earned the ACP credential. That's approximately 1% of all working paralegals in the USA. This, along with doing work for a criminal law office for about seven years, means Watson is uniquely qualified to help attorneys navigate difficult legal terrain. Watson has also made a concerted effort at continuing education by attending legal seminars mostly sponsored by the Ohio State Bar Association. He has accumulated about 150 CLE credits as a paralegal attending these courses. It is extremely rare for a paralegal to possess extensive legal knowledge, high research capacity, and the editing and writing skills of a professional AP or Chicago style journalist. *Expires 08/2018 |

He has placed as high as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in some local individual pool tournaments. He starts with the rules of play and then elevates to shot making and then tactics and strategy. His background in education makes him more ideally suited to teach the novice player the intricate aspects of pocket billiards than maybe a more gifted player who has little to no experience in educational psychology or instructional methods.
